A QUESTION OF TIME
Clint Hamilton
Hamilton's work engages with the classical themes of nature and the passage of time. Primarily focussing on the changing seasons and the phases of the moon to help illustrate our disconnection to our environment and the material world.

Through preliminary note taking, drawing, photography and the appropriation of images, he works and reworks the subject. Repetition plays a strong part in his practice, reflecting the monotony of our everyday lives. Upscaling these ideas within experimentation makes use of the physicality of his materials. This emphasis on the 'material', is reflected in the largely non digital media used as much of his current work involves camera-less photography techniques. He craves the tangible, working with many different mediums in his practice such as drawing, relief, sculpture and collage; sometimes using everyday materials and found objects in the pursuit of reconnecting us with the greater and more meaningful elements of our environment.
