She is interested in highlighting the joy found in the environment, which can be shared across generations old and new, to raise awareness of the beauty in our surroundings. Subjects for the work are drawn from Emma’s personal experience of nature, including her fascination with birds and plants which take shape in bright installations. By exploring techniques such as etching and digital artwork, she pushes the work beyond the canvas allowing the viewer to see the environment from a new perspective.
