Born and raised in the home of heavy metal (Birmingham, U.K) Lucia’s work is a conversation surrounding her obsessive nature and experiences of being neurodivergent within a neurotypical world.

Incorporating her alternative upbringing by personalising the macabre, distorting and projecting her neurodivergence onto her self-made characters (The Seraph and alter-ego), Lucia explores and celebrates her newly accepted identity.

The self-made characters within her practise act as a vehicle for self-exploration. The alter-ego exists as Lucia’s mirror image; a newborn who is progressively being exposed to Lucia’s neurodivergent qualities through hellish abstract landscapes and The Seraph.
By utilising hellish imagery within her practise, Lucia allows viewers to gaze at both the beauties and horrors that come with existing as a neurodivergent individual in contemporary times.
The Seraph is both an omnipresent entity representing her neurodivergence, as well as an experimenter by projecting said qualities onto the alter-ego- corrupting her, but liberating Lucia.
