Lee Tyson (Coventry based, b.2000) is a multidisciplinary artist with a practice which deliberates upon the understanding of objects within the domestic Sphere.

Deriving inspiration from memory, Tyson endeavours to explore how objects impact space whilst also taking measures to identify how form, material and scale alter our perceptions of comfort.

Moreover, Tyson is inclined to navigate the historical and contemporary influence of Porcelain within the modern home, drawing on her own experiences to enrich this portion of her practice further.

Through the motif of the ‘vase’, Tyson also deigns to investigate the themes of identity and control, in a pursuit to better understand their correlation to the meaning of home. Materials play a crucial role within Tyson’s Practice, allowing her to expand upon the aforementioned concepts, whilst also exploring how these materials might alter our relationship to the domestic sphere.
