Izabela Kaczmarska (b.1974) comes from Poland and lives in Coventry. She is a multimedia artist who explores the boundaries of art between 2D and 3D. She uses a variety of techniques to convey her ideas. Her work is a mixture of various traditional and contemporary methodologies such as casting, carving and drawing. .

She creates her works based on loose ideas and allows herself to spontaneously experiment with colour and form, and then analyses and interprets the results, taking time to understand the deeper meaning of her work and developing her own ideas.

The topics that concern her are diverse and often evolve along with her work. However, one consistent feature of her practice is the role that colour plays. She believes it is a powerful tool for evoking emotions and exploring various aspects of the human experience.
