Grace Coady (b.2002) lives in Coventry, UK, and works primarily with portraiture; involving a range of media, which includes paint, pencil, and installation. Subjects for the work solely come from the artist herself, mainly working with self-portraiture. Drawing influence and inspiration from various cultural outlets, Grace Coady is able to create a line of commentary through her work that all centre on the experiences of womanhood.

She enjoys experimenting with different mediums and styles of art to explore her chosen theme of ‘taking up space’ and to showcase emotion and movement relating to her concepts. She primarily uses a polychromatic scale to convey these themes as she believes the use of colour illustrates her message more successfully.
